At the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards, she had the most nominations for the year (10). She’s the only singer in the history of the MTV Video Music Awards to have four videos nominated in different categories. She won Video of the Year for Firework and also Best Collaboration and Best Special Effects with Kanye West for E.T. I know you know who we’re talking about. And yes, it’s none other than Katy Perry.
With all the awards she bagged, it’s just appropriate for her to be at the House of Hype’s 2011 MTV Video Music Awards after party, which was held at the SLS Hotel in Los Angeles on Sunday night!
Katy Perry at House of Hype’s 2011 MTV Video Music Awards After Party
At the after party, the 26-year-old singer managed to look cheery in her yellow lace detailed chiffon top from Elie Saab Resort 2012 collection. She styled it with wide snakeskin belt and teamed it with a pencil skirt. Completing her after party look are her Giuseppe Zanotti peep toe pumps. Now that’s a lot of color there… pink hair, yellow top and blue pumps… it doesn’t seem to work but Katy still managed to work it out.
Take a look at the pumps:
These peep toe pumps are made of suede, and it features stunning crystals with luxurious blue marquise cut stone at the center, which makes these pumps very hard to miss. It has a towering heel that measures about five inches and it also has an ankle strap to complete.
You can buy this cobalt blue version of the Giuseppe Zanotti I16080 Pumps at Endless for $1,095. A black version is also available for the same price at Giuseppe Zanotti.
If you’re curious about what Katy Perry wore at the 2011 MTV VMAs, you’ve got to check this out. And actually, she changed four times at the event, making four different appearances.
Katy Perry in Atelier Versace Fall 2011 Dress
Here’s Katy Perry’s arrival ensemble. She wore a kimono-inspired dress made of neoprene sequins with cherry blossom-shaped detailing from Atelier Versace Fall 2011 collection, which she then paired with Jimmy Choo Beak strappy sandals. She also got a parasol and cherry blossom in her hair to complete her Asian-inspired look.
Katy Perry in Tom Ford 2011 Gown
While on the stage to introduce Adele, Katy wore a sexy Gothic-looking gown by Tom Ford. It’s done in purple and it features high neckline and sheer sleeves.
Katy Perry in Christian Dior Fall 2011 Couture
She again went on stage to receive the Video of the Year award. This time around, she wore a Christian Dior Fall 2011 Couture ensemble, which included a pink quarter sleeve top with yellow button and mint green flap teamed with black and white tulip-shaped skirt with broken glass prints. As bold as she is, she also styled her look with a cube yellow Stephen Jones hat and finished her getup with color block Giuseppe Zanotti wedges.
Katy Perry in Johnny Wujek for Furne One Breaking Record Dress and Hat
To top off her wardrobe changes, at the VMA press room, Katy wore an interesting dress from Johnny Wujek for Furne called the One Breaking Record dress complete with a hat. The design of the dress shows why it’s named as such because literally, it shows broken records, which formed the dress’ deep cut neckline, and with only a single record in whole and it even holds Katy Perry’s name on it. Such a statement-making dress, yes?
Out of all her ensembles, which one do you like best?
