On June 21, 2011, Cameron visited Late Night with Jimmy Fallon at Rockefeller Center in New York City.

The Bad Teacher was released in North America on June 24 in over 3,000 theaters. It took in $12,243,987 in its opening day and grossed a total of $31,603,106 in its opening weekend, ending up second at the box office behind Cars 2.
