Isabel Marant Franklin Embellished Canvas Boots

I know these ...Read more]]> Isabel Marant’s collections have been making scenes in the Hollywood lately. We can’t blame celebrities though since the collections are indeed covetable and fashionable. Just recently, we’ve seen the Isabel Marant Franklin Embellished Boots worn by two famous and much talked about stars Nicky Hilton and Katie Holmes.

I know these boots really don’t have jewels; they rather have beads. Nevertheless, I see this embellishment as a ‘jewel’ to the boot’s rather plain design. It’s made of canvas and it’s obviously slouchy and has a chic pointed toe. The beads are actually detachable and it’s composed of multicolored wood and bead, which are placed around the ankle. Since it is removable, you might as well want to wear it as an anklet when you’re wearing other shoes.

Anyway, the boot also has a curved cuff and a contrast leather trim along the back. Its heel is also covered in leather and has about four inches height.

So here’s Nicky and Paris Hilton having a little sister bonding at Britney Spears’ Femme Fatale concert tour (together with Nicki Minaj) held at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California on Monday, June 20. Let’s put aside Paris since we’re only focusing on Nicky here. Nicky donned a green cardigan over a black top and pink flowery skirt. Seriously, I’m not really feeling her outfit because I think there’s just too many going on in that. The black top matches her black boots, yes, but I don’t like the pairing of the green cardigan and the pink skirt (and even add the blue beading on the boots); I’d rather have her wear something in blue and black than those to complement the Isabel Marant boots well.

On the other hand, here’s Katie Holmes looking fashionably cool in those Isabel Marant boots. Katie and Suri were having their mother-daughter bonding time at the Bal Harbour stores in Florida on Tuesday (June 21) afternoon. Compared to how Nicky styled the boots, I think Katie Holmes did it better. She actually donned a simple black ruffled dress with a grey blazer and a straw hat. It’s simple but it’s definitely much better.
