Leighton Meester’s Show Stopping Shoes at the Red Carpet

Leighton Meester was a breath of fresh air at the Golden Globe’s red carpet event last January 16, 2011. Her look was demure yet sophisticated. She wasn’t the only one who opted for a long sleeved gown that evening but she was one of those of looked utterly chic and “of-the-moment.”

The Gossip Girl star was in Burbery Prorsum, a surprising choice for such a young lady, however, it turned out just fine. Especially when she wore it with these stunning suede platform sandals adorned with rhinestones.

We have witnessed how Katie Holmes matured from her tomboyish Dawson’s Creek days to chic and sophisticated Mrs. Cruise. I didn’t really give much attention to her pre-Tom days as I found her style (or lack there of) blah. But fast forward to the infamous whirlwind romance, a darling baby, and several years of blissful marriage after, she has blossomed into a chic, confident, and stylish woman.

At the recent Tony Awards, she wowed the audience in an elegant strapless gunmetal gown by Armani Privé. She kept everything else at the minimum with just a quilted purse and a pair of subtly jeweled sandals.

I love Katie’s look here. It’s so understated chic. The kind of look that only a handful of Hollywood stars have mastered. If you love Katie’s total ensemble at the Tony’s, then you might find what I put together useful.
